The Foundation is an active partner in supporting physician recruitment and retention. Since inception, the Foundation has been supporting the Guysborough Memorial Hospital in many facets which include funding equipment purchases for the hospital, education of staff and physician recruitment. In 2000, the Foundation purchased a house in the community of Guysborough to facilitate stable accommodations for physicians practicing in the community.
